New Beginnings

Always with the new beginnings, or reinvention. Anyway, now that I am no longer trying to appease those ad-gods, I think I'll actually post a blog that brings in better ad revenue. Here goes: Kate and I are really trying to get back on the right track with our eating. We realize that's the first step. You can exercise all day and still only see a small result if your eating habits aren't changed or modified. I've decided that if I go out to eat at a sit down restaurant, I'm going to try and eat a salad. The only place that's trouble right now is Nuke's because their Bar-B-Q chicken pizza is so good. What I need not to do though is eat the entire pizza in one sitting. By doing that, I'm taking in:
Pizzas
each
Calories
Fat
(g)
Cholesterol
(mg)
Carbs
(g)
Protein
(g)
Fiber
(g)
BBQ Chicken 1073 46.3 122.4 105.7 57.2 4.7

1073 calories. That's ridiculous. All of that, on top of what I've already eaten for the day.

Back to point though, dinners for me lately have consisted of only 1 serving opposed to the 2.5 I would get regularly. I'm also trying to drink more water, but I generally have to have one of those packet things in it so I can get some flavor.

On the exercise front, we're walking almost everyday for at least 30 minutes at a time. A big improvement over the 0 amount of time we were doing anything active previously.

As with starting something like this, I'm nervous that things won't work out the way I want them too, anxious that things won't happen as fast as I want them to and worried that I'll become hyper-obsessed with it as I have in the past. If that happens, it will lead to more worrying that the weight will come back on as it has in the past too, so that's twice the worry. I know we can do it though, and we have time. We've both lost significant amounts of weight before and I know we can do it again. Stay tuned, Blogger.

Better posting

I came to you with false pretenses, blogosphere. I came here to try to make a quick buck, and just as quickly I was dropped from my AdSense account becuase I was deemed, "uninteresting." That is paraphrasing more than slightly, but it doesn't make me mad. It just means now I can talk about what I would like to, without trying to appease the keywords that will bring traffic to my page. You (all one of you, who is in fact Kate) will now receive better posts, more inclined to discussing happenings in my life and other lagniappe as it rolls in. Modnation Racers is awesome by the way, but the career mode if you haven't heard is incredibly taxing. Before hurling my controller, I have to remind myself "wall = hard, while bed or couch cushion does not." I am off now though, as this is work time and I shouldn't be on here. Just wanted to put out a quick update.
