Modnation Racers
I am very excited about getting this game for my PS3. You all can expect a review of it once I've had a little time to toy with it, but a demo is available on PSN for both the PS3 and PSP versions. Check it out!

A.J. Jacobs
So, the record for the most books I've ever read by one author is held by this man, A.J. Jacobs. For anyone reading this (which is a stretch already) who does not know who he is, check out his books. The Guinea Pig Diaries: My Life as an Experiment
is his newest, and also the one I finished reading most recently. In this book, Jacobs (As his overseas Indian assistant calls him) compiles a list of different experiments he performed that lasted roughly one month. Probably the one that caught my attention most was the experiment where he attempted to cut out all multi-tasking. As he states in the book, what we view as "multi-tasking" is actually "switch-tasking", repeated transference of attention from one task to another. In switching from one task to another, it costs us a little bit of brain power to go from one of the other which can lead to mistakes that wouldn't have been made if one had just been focusing on the one task at hand. So, as I write this, ating my lnch and listnin to Dave Mathews Band (joke), I'm making a commitment to cut back on the "multi-tasking" I do. I think that it will really help me to enjoy the tasks I perform and also feel more accomplished in doing them.

I need a persona.
I know it isn't (or shouldn't) be the goal of any worship band member to distract focus. We are commanded to bring people closer to the Spirit of God and align the proper environment for the Word to be delivered. That isn't why I want a persona. The thing is, I want a niche. I dress normally when I play. I have to take my glasses off though, because honestly, who can really rock with glasses? Anyway, I was over on the Relevant magazine website checking out their articles and the video for How He Loves by John Mark McMillan came up.His drummer wears a beanie. I am not aware if this is all the time, or just a music video thing, but I want my "beanie." Paul McCartney's drummer is a 300+ pound bald Asian man who can wail. The drummer for Death Cab wears a close buzz cut, glasses and flannel. Obviously my above statement about rocking with glasses is null and void. But, what's my beanie? Tommy (our singer) has a beard, Adam (our bassist/whatever is needed) has cool hats and Toms shoes, Jeremiah (back-up vocals) looks like a movie star, and Carl (Electric guitar) is freakishly tall with a freakishly full beard as well. Me, I'm pudgy and have mostly triplet based closing fills. Is that my beanie? I hope not. How boring.

Tomorrow is the last day of finals.
And like a true college kid, I had the healthiest food I can imagine: Pizza. I didn't get mechanically separated and then rejoined pieces of meat though. Only veggies. I really want to say something worthwhile on here blog world, I just don't know what that is yet. I am more than excited to start playing video games again once finals are over. Battlefield: BC 2, Arkham Asylum, AC 2, God of War collection..SO much. I also have a few books I want to check out, too. Something about courageous men or something. I don't know. I also am going to try and take all 3 of my Praxes this Summer, so I'll be studying for that. I have to do well so that I can relocate at will. All the hiring principal will have to see is my amazing Praxis score and know that I am the right candidate. Wishful thinking. Anyway, looks like it will be a good summer. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

In all honesty, I forgot this existed.
I run out of things to say when I blog. I wish there were more interesting aspects of my life other than I'm a student in college, engaged to the best woman ever and an avid gamer. Those three things combined pretty much sum up that my daily goal of existence is to spend time inside. But that's not always the case. I do sometimes enjoy the outside, but only if it is by looking through a window.
If anyone can think of a non-treasonous way for me to get knighted (by the Queen of England mind you. Not that guy who thinks he is outside of the Thrifty Liquor), you have the floor.
